Choose See putts on the Putting tile to open Putting practice. Every measured putt is kept locally with its speed, start direction, path, confidence, camera setup, and the distance to the pin that GSPro reported.
Replay a putt
Open Replay, then choose a row under Putting history. The row's Putt length is the intended distance to the pin, not how far the ball rolled. Older putts or putts made before GSPro reported a target say Distance unknown. The drawing animates the measured path beside the target line. Overlay draws several putts together.
When a camera clip exists, YOUR STROKE · CAMERA REPLAY plays beside the path. The ball-view window can also show a short slow-motion replay after a putt or full shot, then return to the live picture.
Your stroke
After a camera putt, PuttBay shows an estimated tempo and backstroke length (turn Show my stroke off in Settings to hide them). Back is the time from the start of the backstroke to its turn. Through is the time from that turn until the putter returns to its address position. Tempo compares those times: 1.65 : 1 means the backstroke took 1.65 times as long. Tour players are often near 2 : 1; that is a reference, not a score for your putt.
Backstroke about 7 in (or about 18 cm) is the estimated putter-head travel along the target line. Its absolute length has not been checked against a ruler on every camera setup. If the head disappears or the whole movement is not clear, PuttBay says Couldn't read this stroke clearly instead of showing numbers. Putting history and Stats show the session's average tempo and spread from clear readings. This estimate never changes the putt sent to GSPro.
Choose whether camera clips are kept or shown
- In Settings > Camera clips, turn Save camera clips on this PC off to stop saving new clips.
- Turn Show a slow-motion replay after each shot off if you want clips saved for review but not shown after each shot.
- Choose a storage limit. PuttBay removes the oldest clips first when that limit is reached.
- Choose Delete camera clips to remove the saved clips now.
Clips stay on this PC and can include the mat, feet, a putter, the golfer, or guests near the camera view. A separate 20-second support recording is created only when you start one under Settings > For support.
Distance and pace
The Last shot card and history show the distance to the pin when GSPro or the practice green supplied it. Stats group putts as Inside 5 ft (1.5 m), 5-10 ft (1.5-3 m), 10-20 ft (3-6 m), 20-35 ft (6-11 m), and 35+ ft (11+ m). Practice-green pace uses the green speed saved with each putt. Other pace is a flat stimp 10 estimate. Slopes can change the finish. PuttBay never claims it saw a make, because the camera measures the start of the roll rather than the cup.
Match GSPro to your mat
Open Settings > Match your mat, then roll three ordinary putts that stop on the mat. PuttBay watches how the ball slows and reports the mat in familiar stimp words, including how closely the rolls agreed. If they disagree, it asks for more instead of saving a guess.
Plays like your mat stays off until a measurement is saved. When you turn it on, enter the green speed GSPro is using; GSPro ships at stimp 10. PuttBay changes the speed sent to GSPro so the flat roll matches the mat, while history and the CSV keep the measured speed, sent speed, mat stimp, and GSPro stimp. The practice green keeps its own speed; Match my mat is merely one choice in its green-speed picker.
Left- and right-handed players
Set Your putting hand in Settings to Left-handed putter or Right-handed putter. During a round, a hand reported by GSPro is used only if no putting hand has been saved. PuttBay keeps physical left and right unchanged, then uses the local player's hand to call the same start a push or pull. History and stats stay with the hand that made each putt.
Export or clear history
Choose Save putts for Excel to export the local history as a CSV. Choose Clear history only when you want to remove it; camera clips have their own Delete camera clips control in Settings.
