PuttBay

Privacy

Last updated October 5, 2026.

PuttBay is made by First Due Co. This page explains in plain words what the PuttBay website and the PuttBay app collect, and what they don't. Questions, or a request to see or delete your details: our contact form.

The website

  • The beta form asks for your name, email, launch monitor, camera, GSPro license type, putting hand, and anything else you want to tell us about your bay. We use it only to plan the beta and to contact you about PuttBay. No newsletter unless you ask for one.
  • The contact form asks for your name, email and your message. We use it only to answer you. We keep it until the beta ends, like the sign-ups, and delete it sooner whenever you ask.
  • Where it's kept. In a database run by Neon, through our website host, Vercel. Only the PuttBay team can see it.
  • Spam protection. With your answers we keep your browser's name and version and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, so we can stop bots. We never keep the IP address itself.
  • How long. Until the beta ends. Then we delete it, unless you've asked us to keep in touch. Ask any time and we'll delete it sooner.
  • No tracking. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no tracking cookies. The only cookie this site sets is the sign-in cookie for our own admin page.
  • Our host handles the usual request details (IP address, browser, page and time) to deliver and protect the site.

The app

PuttBay is a Windows app. It does its work on your PC.

  • The camera picture stays on your PC. PuttBay uses it to measure the ball, and it never uploads video.
  • Camera clips for replays are saved on your PC, up to the storage limit you choose. You can turn them off or delete them in Settings. A clip can show whoever is near the mat.
  • Support recordings. If you start a 20-second support recording in Settings, it's saved on your PC and can show whoever is near the mat. PuttBay doesn't delete it for you, so delete it when you're done with it.
  • Your putt history, settings, camera setups and Friends-mode names stay on your PC. You can export your history or clear it.
  • Logs stay on your PC with personal details removed, and logs older than seven days are deleted.
  • Problem reports are a file you save and choose to send. PuttBay never sends one in the background. You can read it before you share it, and it only includes a screenshot if you switch that on.
  • A random support ID is created when you install PuttBay, so reports from the same PC can be matched up. It isn't made from your name, email or Windows account.
  • GSPro and your launch monitor. PuttBay talks to GSPro and to your launch monitor's software on your own PC. It never alters your launch monitor's numbers and never reads your GSPro round data.

Your choices

  • Leave the form's "anything else" box empty, and the email box on a problem report.
  • Turn camera clips off, change their limit, or delete them.
  • Export or clear your putt history. Delete logs and saved reports.
  • Ask us to show you or delete your sign-up or your messages: our contact form.
