PuttBay

A practice green that rolls like GSPro.

Putt a real ball on your mat and watch it roll across a green built for one job: making you better on GSPro's greens.

Why "like GSPro" matters

A green that rolls like a real green sounds right, until you take that pace into GSPro. GSPro slows a fast putt down more than a real green does. Practice somewhere else and you'll leave your lag putts short.

PuttBay's practice green uses GSPro's own public roll model, from stimp 6 to 13, so a putt you hit here rolls about as far as the same putt in GSPro. The pace in your hands is the pace you'll play. Slopes are close and being matched to GSPro too.

Pick your green speed before you start, from stimp 6 to 13, just like GSPro. Stimp 11 is the default.

Read it yourself

The reading grid and white dots show you the ground. Dots roll downhill, faster on steeper slopes. The green never tells you the break unless you ask. No predicted line, no "aim two cups left". You read it and you pick the line, like on a real course. The aim line is there if you want it, and it switches off. Stuck on a read in practice? Switch on Show me the read and a gold line shows the answer. It's off until you turn it on, and locked off in games.

Games that make practice stick

  • Ladder. Climb from short to long, one make at a time. Miss and you slide back.
  • Leapfrog. Each putt has to finish past the last one, but not by much. Pure pace control.
  • PuttBay Test. 18 putts from short, middle and long range, every first putt scored against a tour baseline. Your total is your PuttBay Rating. Take it today, take it again next month.
  • Rounds. Play holes on the green with a score.

Better with friends

Local multiplayer on the same mat. Everyone picks their own ball color and the green follows whoever is up. Games keep score for the whole group.

A ball you'll recognize

A real dimpled golf ball with PuttBay printed on it, in white, neon yellow, neon red, neon green, neon blue or neon pink. Pick yours and watch it turn as it rolls.

Morning or evening

Play in the golden light of a late afternoon or under evening skies, with a clubhouse, benches and old oaks around a green that's worth looking at.

No simulator? No problem.

The practice green works with just the camera and your mat, no launch monitor and no GSPro needed. It's a home putting trainer that tells you the truth about your pace.
